Macy's is now hiring experienced retail professionals for our Holiday Sales Associate positions!

 

Overview :

As a Holiday Sales Associate, you will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule on a temporary basis, including weekends and busy retail sales events such as the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. Responsibilities include delivering outstanding customer service for our customer's retail experience, meeting hourly retail sales and loyalty goals, providing product knowledge to our customers and working as part of a team to meet individual, department and store objectives. Just in time for holiday shopping, you will receive an employee discount of up to 20% starting your first day!

Key Accountabilities for Holiday Sales Associate :

 

         Greet customers within 30 seconds and begin the process of delivering an outstanding Macy's retail shopping experience

         Maintain a positive professional attitude reflecting Macy's commitment to our customer while delivering exceptional customer experience

         Promptly and professionally answer all telephone inquiries

         Through the use of vendor and store product knowledge tools, become familiar with retail merchandise and share this information with our customers

         Close every sale with the offer to place it on a Macy's account, and offer to open an account if the customer does not have one

         Be familiar with all markdowns, special promotions, clearance and advertised merchandise

         Know and use all Macy's systems and procedures to enhance selling efficiencies and complete non-selling duties

         Assist in maintaining merchandise presentation standards; in particular a clean, neat, and easy to shop environment

         Be familiar with merchandise in back stock, and continuously replenish the selling floor as needed 

Holiday Sales Associate Skills Summary:

  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, the day after Thanksgiving, and the day after Christmas
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic
  • Possess a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service, including both internal and external customers
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and take initiative independent of direct supervision
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
